Quite often, teaching in a house church environment is informal. The difference between teaching in a simple church and in a more traditional gathering is mostly about direction. In a house church the teaching comes by dialog, cross-talk, question and answer. In a traditional gathering it comes from a pulpit or platform or, as Wolfgang Simpson has said, “about 18 inches above contradiction.” That doesn’t mean, however, that prepared teaching doesn’t or shouldn’t happen. In this section are some teachings and interviews relevant to simple church. We hope it will be helpful.
